The MP-1 is Monteverde's first internal piston fountain pen, built for their 25th anniversary, and the Carbon Fiber is the top of that line. Where the standard MP-1 bodies are resin, this one carries a real carbon fiber cap and blind cap — a woven texture that catches light differently as you turn it.
The piston fills straight from a bottle, holding roughly 2 ml, and Monteverde's lock-it mechanism keeps the piston from backing off in a bag. Inside is a German #6 JoWo stainless steel nib. Ours is fitted with the Medium.
One pen only at the moment. Come try it at the shop — a piston filler is worth handling before you buy, and that is what the pens on the counter are for.
